On Sunday (10/13) was the 31st annual Tucson AIDS Walk. This is a major fundraiser for the Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation and the funds gathered from it are used to support different care services, prevention programs, and LGBTQ+ initiatives in our community! One of our very own Scirens coaches, Coco, works for SAAF, and Scirens loves supporting our coaches and our community all in one Sunday morning.
Our day started bright and early with a very spooky full moon to get us in the proper spoopy szn mood. There were many a Halloween donut provided for volunteers at one of the Downtown tent sites. So yum! There was also a very talented face painter who layered our faces with beautiful flowers of all different lovely colors. After the walk, we found a tiger. Who knew you could go on a safari in Tucson, AZ? (RAWR!) Most importantly, we made several TikTok's all while cheering on the AMAZING walkers who came out to support this wonderful event and organization! A morning well spent with wonderful people and a team I'm so fortunate to be a part of. <3
